Little Moments

A photographer I follow once emphasized the importance of leaving your camera in an easily accessible spot so that you can capture precious everyday moments. Formal family photos are so important and I am so thankful for the professional photos that we’ve had done. I love looking back on our maternity pictures from when I was pregnant with Myla (I didn’t do them with Luca and I wish I would have!) I love looking at the mommy and me session I had done with my babies when Myla was just a few months old.

But there’s something about the little moments.

The moments in the nursery with my babies, them playing in the crib while I put away clothes.

Celebrating with family at my niece’s 3rd birthday party.

Watching Luca as he learned to swing on his swing set for the first time by himself.

Taking in every new step that Myla takes and watching her discover new things each day – like how to open doors or that she absolutely does NOT like the swing right now.

Spending time outside looking at clouds or the moon with my boy.

Those are the moments I want to remember.
